Being Busy is Good for Your Brain

Studies have shown that busy people tend to have sharper brains than their less busy peers. Although the less busy ones might enjoy good health and reduced stress levels, the cognitive level that is attained as a result of being busy far  outweighs the negative effect of the stress.

Another intriguing possibility is that new learning improves cognitive abilities, and that the busy members of society may have more opportunities to learn new things because they more frequently engage in challenging tasks and situations that appear to keep the brain active.

A person who is consistently involved in one task or the other would have a much better reasoning capacity, long-term memory, brain speed at old age than the ones who have been less busy over a period of time. With this new revelation, there will surely be an excuse for keeping busy from now!
