The Mentor Matchup Challenge is designed to bridge the practical knowledge gaps amongst African founders. The Mentor Matchup Challenge 7.0 is a highly anticipated annual event that brings together active players who promote indigenous industries, capacity building, and local production in diverse sectors of the economy.
We have witnessed businesses scale up their operations, improve their processes, and increase their workforce after participating in our event.
MMC 7.0 is carefully curated to feature Panel Discussions, Keynote Speeches, Intimate Mentorship Sessions, Networking Opportunities, Light Entertainment, and the Indigenous Exhibition. The panel discussions are interactive—bringing together thought leaders to discuss topics that cut across intra-African trade, industrialization, favorable policy-making, and more. The one-on-one mentoring sessions give delegates the opportunity to discuss pressing business challenges with the mentors in attendance.
The aim of the event is to equip attendees with practical business insights required to scale up their operations, access mentorship and investment opportunities, and give visibility to African brands through the Indigenous Exhibition.

"Mentorship is often an undervalued component of building a business or brand, but I firmly believe in the value of standing on the shoulders of giants. I was excited to attend the Mentor Matchup Challenge 5.0 as a delegate and found the panelists' insights incredibly valuable in addressing the challenges faced by business owners"
"MMC 5.0 was a life changer for me as a young Start up looking for various opportunities to learn and develop. Attending MMC 5 gave me all I could have spent a lot of years and money gaining in one day as the event provided an opportunity for me to meet Mr Obinna, MD of NIGERBEV (makers of BEST Alcohols ). He gave me an audience and supported one of our events in December in IBENO BEACH AKWA-IBOM South -South Nigeria. BEST Brand came on board and they had a sold out sales of their brands. This happened because I was present at MMC 5. 0. Thank you Mrs Ezinne Nwazulu and the entire team"
"The theme of the conference is really something I am all about. Mentoring those behind me, looking up to those ahead of me, and bringing people together to build something solid for the fashion industry. For key stakeholders and gatekeepers, ensure that you share. You will not be here forever, and it would be great for someone to take the baton and carry on from that point"
"It’s my first experience and one of the key highlights is a deep dive into the investment opportunities that are available and the underutilised investment opportunities such as the public funds as well as the private wealth that is sitting in diaspora accounts"
"234Finance has created a fantastic foundation for small and medium-sized businesses to understand where shocks may come from, where opportunities lie, and how to leverage them. This kind of forum is a consolidated platform that highlights quick strategies you can adopt in your business to make it more profitable."
"My favorite panel was the one about the supply chain. They really talked about the hard questions, where we discussed logistics and how to create a more sustainable future for ourselves. We also talked about the barriers in trade, where there is still a struggle to export products. So it has been interesting to see the policies we can adopt as well as the methods and strategies to overcome these challenges"
"NGX is always at events where entrepreneurship is a topical discussion in our environment. We like to provide support to businesses in terms of the ability to raise capital, so you are not discouraged as entrepreneurs. You start small but scale, and we are here to encourage these early startups by providing an enabling environment where they can leverage and access all the relevant mentorships and the right partnerships to survive"
"Resilience is very critical in this time when we are experiencing inflation and unpredictable exchange rates. As an SME growing in this environment, resilience is needed. It leads to innovation, adaptability in your business model, diversification, and expansion, whether regionally or through exporting. It is a great conversation to be having now"
